Madden NFL (also known as John Madden Football 1993 ) is an American football game made by EA Tiburon for EA Sports . It has been named to the Pro Football Hall of Famer John Madden.

He is a former Super Bowl-winning coach of the Oakland Raiders an co-commentator. The series has sold over 100 million copies. Under realistic features of the game are sophisticated playbooks and Player tactics and commentary where just looks like in the middle of live game.

Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins created the series and approached Madden in 1984 for his approval and expertise. Due to insistence Madden's to make the game as realistic as possible, the first version of John Madden Football was published in 1988

EA brings an annual version since 1990 and the name of the series is renewed for Madden NFL 1993 from EA itself was the NFL rights for teams and players.


Despite Maddens retirement as a commentator in 2009, he continues to give his name to the game and provides its expertise for the game.

From 2013 Eletronic Arts sold over 100 million copies of Madden NFL, and sold in a year more than five million copies which brought revenues of $4 Billion.

The commentary in Madden NFL looks as if you're watching a real match. For most versions of the game, the comment was made by John Madden himself and his commentary partner Par Summerall (which he worked with for CBS and FOX from 1980-2000) until Summerall went in retirment.

Summerall was replaced by Al icheals , John's commentary partner at ABC Monday Night Football (2002-2005) and NBC Sunday Night Football ( 2006-2008).Madden NFL 09 was the last game where John Madden was commentator. The reason for this was that he had no more rent long sit in a studio and each scenario to commentat.

Madden was replaced by Cris Collinsworth as commentator who worked with Tom Hammond in Madden NFL 10. In Madden NFL 11 and 12 he worked with Gus Johnson.

Madden NFL 13 is the debut of the current commentators Jim Nantz and Phil Simms with even cutscene where their two occur for the match.
